A Game Changer for CFD in the Safety Industry
in:Flux Cloud Overview
Built into the in:Flux version 4.0 interface is the option to run simulations in the cloud. This offloads the work of running cases locally or sending to ifx:Solve and managing solver files. After setup, watch as cases are calculated and then download results upon completion.
- Whether it is 1 or 10,000 simulations. For each project, a set of virtual machines are deployed equivalent to one per simulation. This allows for the completion of the project in roughly the same amount of time it takes the longest simulation to run.
- Seamless Integration – simply select which simulations to send to the cloud in the Cloud Manager and in:Flux handles the rest.
- No Additional Hardware Needed – Setup, Management and Post-Processing can all be handled on a standard laptop. No high-performance machine or additional IT infrastructure is needed. Virtual machines are hosted in a secure Microsoft Azure server, managed by Insight Numerics.
- Post-processing is also integrated into the cloud, so retrieving new information from completed simulations now takes just a few minutes.
- Pricing is on a per-simulation basis, not CPU-hours, allowing you to accurate budget for projects that use in:Flux Cloud.
in:Flux Computing Options
- Local – using the main in:Flux software to run cases in series
- Distributed – using ifx:Solve to divide up the project computation to other machines
- in:Flux Cloud – seamlessly running cases in parallel, each simulation with its own virtual machine
