Feature Improvements

  • Added a “Set Selected to Simulation” option to the right-click menu when multiple visual items are selected, with the simulation list filtered to those compatible with all selected items.
  • Visual items assigned to a transient simulation without choosing a specific time step are now set to the final time record automatically.
  • Improved the display of Froude and Reynolds numbers, which now switch between plain and scientific notation depending on magnitude.
  • Removing geometry or layers that contain no triangles no longer resets completed simulations.
  • Improved the layout of the user-defined regression rate and mass flux inputs in the Add Evaporating Pool window.
  • Performance Improvements for fire simulations.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where the “HVAC Flow Factor” was not applied to dispersion simulations. Dispersion simulations reused the ventilation simulation’s HVAC inflows with a factor of 1.0 regardless of the selected value. Note: dispersion results based on a ventilation simulation with a flow factor other than 1.0 should be re-run in this version.
  • Fixed crash when importing inflows from Excel. Additionally, the last row of data in inflow, monitor point, and fluid Excel imports was previously ignored, as was the last mixture column in fluid imports.
  • Fixed issue where the fluid Excel import did not recognize fluids defined in the user fluid database.
  • Fixed crashes when loading files saved in previous versions that contain gas detector optimization settings or optimal detector layouts.
  • Fixed issue where “Region Volume” consequence datasets lost their monitor region when loading files saved in previous versions.
  • Fixed issue where selections in the detector location and group dropdown menus of the gas detector optimization window were not retained, and the “All” checkbox closed the dropdown.
  • Fixed issue where the selected time was not shown in the property grid and project tree after picking a simulation from a visual item’s right-click menu.
  • Fixed simulation selection menus closing unexpectedly when clicking the scrollbar or hovering over the time step list.
  • Fixed crash when selecting a time step for a visual item whose transient simulation was asleep (e.g., immediately after loading a project).
  • Fixed issue where vectors were displayed grey instead of colored by the color map when recolored after loading a project.
  • Fixed issue where hidden layers could not be shown again after using a surface pick tool (e.g., in the Add HVAC window).
  • Fixed issue where “Remove Selected” did nothing when the selection contained only layers.
  • Fixed issue where the visibility checkbox of newly imported geometry started in an indeterminate state.
  • Fixed issue where removed construction geometry lines, surfaces, and images reappeared the next time the project was loaded, which in some cases caused a crash on load.
  • Fixed crash when removing custom volumes.
  • Fixed issue where dropdown menus in the custom volume window closed the window instead of opening.
  • Fixed error when submitting a dispersion simulation to Solve on Cloud when its ventilation simulation had already been completed on the cloud.
  • Fixed error when post-processing a newly added monitor region on the cloud.
  • Fixed issue where the Theory Guide and Excel import templates were missing from the installation and failed to open from within the application.
  • Fixed issue where zero probabilities were displayed as “%” instead of “0 %” in the property grid.
  • Fixed issue where the time field of a visual item still showed a value after its simulation was removed.
